Product Review

Happy Saturday,
Today I figured i'd review a product which I truly love. Obviously I will speak good things about this seeing as I adore it. This product is made by Revlon and it is a lovely eyeshadow quad named Nude Elements. Within this quad, you will find four amazing eyeshadows.

The first eyeshadow in the quad (up top) is a shimmery white colour that is great for under your brow bone as well as in your inner tear duct. The second shadow is a shimmery pale pink which applies greatly over your eyelid. The third colour is a dusty pink-purple colour that is lovely in your crease and finally, the dark grey, almost black shadow is amazing for the outer corner. These four eyeshadows are super pigmented and down below you can see swatches of them.

I would definitely recommend this product.
A+

gift ideas for the man in your life

gift ideas for the man in your life

Does anyone agree that christmas shopping is a lot harder when it comes to guys?
I gathered nine ideas that would work for almost any guy out there.
1. Shock by Calvin Klein Cologne. You don't have to go for this specific kind but every guy needs to smell good so this is a great one.
2. American Eagle Striped Crew Sweater. These are the ideal shirts for the winter season and they instantly make you look good. This one retails for 50$ but I'm sure you can find something similar for a lot less in stores such as Walmart.
3. Concert tickets, movie tickets, sport events ticket... Most people have at least one interest and it is a great idea to give tickets to an event of that sort.
4. A great pair of sunglasses is another great idea. Nobody likes staring into the sun and having to squint.
5. A great wash will always come in handy. Especially on those days where its too cold to constantly be grabbing your cellphone out of your school bag.
6. Most people listen to music on the bus, at the gym or while walking home. A nice pair of earphones will always come in handy seeing as most pairs don't last very long.
7. 99% of guys do wear boxers, well maybe not 99% but many. Getting him some nice christmas-themed boxers are definitely cute and fun.
8. An Axe gift set is also a great idea. Everything you need to use in the shower and there are many different scents available therefore there will be one to fit your mans preference.
9. Last but not least, christmas entails that its winter time, correct? Most guys would prefer to freeze rather than look stupid in what they're wearing so why not pick up a great beanie for your man? It'll keep him warm and will make him look good.

I hope you guys enjoyed this and that it comes in handy!

christmas is around the corner

Untitled #108

I wanted to start off my gift guides for the holiday season and therefore I decided to put together some ideas for stocking stuffers for the girls! I'll probably do a gift guide for boys too but I have to think a little bit more for that one. Let's get started!

1. My mom always gets me mascara in my stocking and its one of the most practical gifts.
This specific one is Maybelline Falsies but you can go with whichever one you think the person would like.
2. Every single girl out there wears lip gloss or lip balm. This is Philosophy's Candy Cane Lip Gloss and therefore combines holiday cheer with a useful gift.
3. Maybelline Color Tattoos! So practical, many different colours are available, they are relatively inexpensive and apply beautifully. If she likes makeup, this is a safe bet!
4. Do you know what her favourite perfume is? If so, get her the roller-ball version. These are very practical for on the go rather than carrying a massive bottle around in your purse.
5. LUSH sells these lip scrubs which are definitely amazing for the winter time. Chapped lips are not cute and this will exfoliate your lips and make them feel like a baby's bottom. Flavours available: bubble gum, popcorn, sweet lips, mint julep!
6. Another great idea is adding a season of the persons favourite show! Another option: a CD that they love!
7. This is random but every year we get christmas tic tacs and realistically, it's a little silly but I always end up eating them!
8. If you are giving to someone who loves nail polish, this set is great! It combines four of the most recent shades of polish from the James Bond collection 'Skyfall'.
9. Hand Sanitizer is essential for being germs-free. Bath and BodyWorks offers a great selection of cute anti-bacterial hand sanitizers!
10. Earrings are also definitely a great option for a stocking stuffer. These ones are Bow Earrings by Kate Spade and are a very classic pair for the ages.
11. Starbucks Gift Card, need I say more? Didn't think so.
12. Last but not least, a cute christmas tumbler is always a great gift. It takes up a tad bit more room but you can open it up and stuff some stuff in there!

I hope this was helpful to some of you!

Untitled #107

Starting off today, I will be making Monday Tea Time a regular beginning of the week occurrence. I'm not a hundred percent sure about how it's going to be, but I think mainly I'm going to show you things I've been loving in the past week as well as just rambling on about life. Who knows? Let's try it out :)

1. I wish I was wearing my hair like this. Actually, I wish my hair would grow so that beautiful braids were an option in general.
2. Have you seen my latest video? It's a haul! Who doesn't love hauls? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8J7Z9xeDos&feature=plcp
3. As of today, I will be trying to change my lifestyle habits. Lately I have just been treating my body like complete garbage and have been eating such unhealthy foods and I have been lazy. My plan is to cut out the fast food, go back to drinking more water, stocking up on fruits & vegetables and possibly adding some working out in that. I think for both my physical and mental health, that this is a step I must take.
4. How do you know what you want to do the rest of your life? My whole life, I thought I wanted to be a teacher. Cue in time to go off to university and I was like WHATT?! I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WANT TO DO! So now, here I am with social anxiety and panic disorder, so limited and I often spend my days thinking what am i doing with my life?

THATS IT FOR MONDAY TEA TIME!
See you tomorrow,

What I've been reading these days...

This book was going around the tumblr universe over the summer time and I still see it on my dashboard. I put a request on it at my local library and honestly completely forgot about it until the day they let me know it was available. For a couple days, I put it aside not so interested in even reading it. I truthfully had no idea what it was about, I just figured if so many people had read it, I should give it a shot. Well, two nights ago around midnight, I decided I was going to start the book. I like reading but mostly I read when tanning outside in the summer time on the beach, or while in my pool. During the school year, I rarely get around to reading for the fun of it. This book completely captured me. Fast forward an hour and a half later and I was finished. I had no intention of reading it all in one sitting but I had to. I couldn't put the book down. I do not want to spoil the book for anyone who has not read it therefore I will not mention anything that occurs in the story. I will say though that the story line is great, the characters are portrayed so beautifully that you can honestly imagine them in your head while reading the book. The author states in the beginning that his story is not based by any means on a true story but while reading it, I felt like it was real.
This book is a roller coaster of emotions. It has its highs and its lows, will have you smiling and laughing one minute and will have you crying the next (if you are sensitive to books anyways).  Before reading this book I had no idea what to expect but I am so glad that I gave it a chance and didn't just return it to the library unread.
I can't recommend this book enough and I am definitely looking into reading more items published by this author.

tie-dye; yay or nay?

tie-dye

Happy Monday!
I was browsing the Glamour magazine website earlier today and they were asking the question "can adults wear tie-dye or is it simply for children? This got me thinking; we see children and teens wear it all the time so why wouldn't adults be able to pull off this trend?
I am a big believer in wearing what makes you feel confident and happy. It doesn't matter what others think as long as you have the confidence to rock it. I figured I'd share with you three different outfits in which I incorporated tie-dye. The first outfit to the left is a fancier option. You can wear this on a date or to work, even to an office conference or something of that sort. The skirt is a statement piece and is being a tad toned down by the rest of the outfit.
The middle outfit is the most casual outfit. It is ideal for either a day of studying at the school library, a shopping date with friends or a casual family dinner. The tie-dye piece here, the scarf, is an accent piece that will still get noticed but it doesn't necessarily expose you in an uncomfortable manner for those of you who are a little shy. Add neutral elements such as this knit cardigan so that we can see the scarf pop and add a bright pair of pants with some cute boots and big bag. The last outfit, on the right, can be worn for a girls night out, on a date with a handsome man or to the office. Your leggings are the accent piece and may cause some controversy but that is what we are going for. A cute dainty peplum shirt will feminize this look and by adding deep berry coloured accessories, you'll pull this fall look off.
That's all I have for you today on that topic.
Whats your opinion?

monday madness

Untitled #104
As most of you may know, this weekend was daylight savings. This is the time of the year that I dread the most. I despise the fact that by dinner time, it is already dark out. I might be a very strange person but as soon as its dark out, I get sleepy. Another thing I dislike is that it gets so bright so early so I have issues sleeping in which therefore screws me over because then when it does get dark out, I'm extra tired. Anywho, let's move on because who seriously cares?

Hypothetically, if I could be wearing anything on this chilly monday, this is the outfit I'd pick. A somewhat oversized knit sweater or cardigan with a cute pattern on it. Don't forget to add a plain old tank top underneath. I'd pair the top with a pair of Old Navy Rockstar Jeans because I heard they are the most comfortable pants ever.

As for accessories, start off with these boots. They are beautiful and grey and you can dress these up or down. To keep warm in the cold weather, add a chunky knit infinity scarf in a neutral colour. Add a bright red bag to play off of the print on the cardigan!

A deep red lip will definitely make your outfit more sophisticated. It is a trick to make it look as if you actually put in some type of effort to your look, which on Mondays is rare.
Pull your hair up into a messy ponytail and add a cute braid to the front of your hair to make it look sassy.

WALK OUT YOUR DOOR LOOKING SCHMEXY.
Have a wonderful monday
