LUXEBOX - WINTER EDITION

What did I get this time around?

1. Eyeko Mini Skinny Brush Mascara
Mascara in a tube is a confusing concept to me, but the brand has great reviews therefore I am super excited to try this mascara out.

2. China Glaze Nail Polish
Nail polish is always a pretty safe bet for me. This bright pink colour will be fantastic for the spring and summer.

3. B Kamins Day Lotion SPF 15
I'm not a huge lover of lotion but this will come in handy to use to moisturize my face. It smells fine therefore I'm alright with it.

4. Schwarzkofp Professional Dust It
This is a lightweight powder for your hair to add texture and have a matte finish. I'm not sure how this will work but I'll definitely try it out.

5. Calvin Klein Euphoria Perfume
I received a tester of this perfume previously and I actually really liked the smell of it. Therefore when it came time to select a product, I opted for this.

6. Marc Anthony Strictly Curls Curl Defining Lotion
This product I am excited about! So far every Marc Anthony product I've tried has been a winner in my books.

7. Kérastase Cristalliste Lumière Liquide
This is like any other hair oil that will leave your hair soft. Nothing fancy but I guess good for travelling.

8. Loose Button Kabuki Brush
A makeup brush is always a nice little extra. This brush is definitely super soft and I am looking forward to using it.

HAUL FRIDAY!

Here are some beauty items I've picked up this past week! I'll elaborate about the product underneath it.
Ardell Magic Lash
I picked this up for a whole 2$ in a sale bin at the local pharmacy. I'm actually excited to see if its going to work or not.

I also found this eyeshadow in the 2$ bin! This is a very nice pinkish lavender colour and I'm super excited to try it!

Recently, Sephora decided to send out 15$ off a 50$ purchase coupon for all Beauty Insiders. I picked up these three primers from Tarte! I wanted to try these out to compare them to Benefit's Porefressional!

Also at Sephora, I picked up the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hour Blush in Buff. In my opinion this is more of a matte bronzer but I am excited none the less. It is a beautiful colour and I will have a review up in the following weeks.
I needed to pick up another little something in order to make it to the 50$ mark so I decided to pick up this sample sized They're Real! Mascara by Benefit because of all the amazing things I have heard about it.
I used 100 of my beauty insider points to pick up this Hope In a Jar facial moisturizer. I wanted to try it out before I picked up the big jar!
I received these 2 samples in the mail. With them also came a 2$ off coupon and thats why I decided on the following product.

I have been waiting for a long time to pick up this self-tanner with my Glymm points and with 12 days of Christmas deal going on, it was finally time!

When I saw this in the store, I knew I had to pick it up. For 14.99$, how could one say no? I have been wanting to try out some Soap & Glory products because of all the rage on youtube, so I decided this would be the ideal testing ground.

Untitled #128

Hey guys! Today I wanted to share with you five products I have been loving. Four of them are makeup products and one is a nail polish.

1. The Body Shop Matte It Primer ($15)
This primer actually contains chamomile as well as aloe vera to soothe your skin. A primer helps in reducing the shine on your face as well as helping your foundation last all day.

2. Revlon Lip Butters (around $8)
Revlon kills it when it comes to most products, but they definitely have the lead in the lip product department. These lip butters are beyond amazing. I have tried Crème Brulée, Cupcake, Candy Apple, Lollipop and Strawberry Shortcake and I will honestly say I have not yet been disappointed. This product is pigmented and will leave your lips feeling moisturized.
Revlon states the following:
- Hydrating mango, shea and coconut butter formula boosts lip moisture by 156%
- Pampering gel formula provides super charged hydration and glides on lips buttery smooth

3. Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara ($10)
All I've got to say is this has been kicking my Falsies mascaras butt lately. I loooove it.

4. Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Extreme Wear Nail Color in Plum Punch ($3)
I have been loving this colour for my nails lately. Its a very nice purply plum with a nice shimmer to it. These are great products for so cheap.

5. L'Oréal Infallible Creamy Powder Foundation
I use this a powder to set my foundation. I dust it on with a big kabuki brush and I honestly am in love with this. I initially picked it up to do a makeup challenge and ended up falling in love with it. I have purchased two more since.

up owl night

up owl night

Its no surprise that animals have made a huge comeback this year. Many clothing items have animals such as foxes, cats, bunnies and one of the funnest ones, owls! I decided for fashion tuesday to put together two outfits featuring owls. The one on the left is casual and the one on the right is a little dressier.
I hope you guys enjoy,

What have I been loving this month you might wonder?

1. Bath & Bodyworks Frosted Cupcake Candle!
This candle smells so delightful. It has strong smells of vanilla buttercream which makes your house smell like a bakery. It is most delightful!

2. Glade Jar Candle 2-in-1 Cinnamon & Custard
This also smells wonderful! Burns nicely, leaves your house smelling divine.

3. Maybelline Colossal Cat Eye Mascara
My mascara favorite is usually the Falsies mascara. I absolutely am head over heels with it. Dare I say though, I believe this Colossal Cat Eyes mascara may have just tied the falsies. Its crazy how much I love this one. It is a drier mascara which totally adds curl to your lashes.

4. Clean&Clear Fruit Infusions Face Wash
This face wash is gentle, smells great and definitely cleans my face the right way. I love to use this with my face brush from Sally Beauty to wash my face in the morning.

5. JustFab boots in Keira (I believe)
These motorcycle style boots are so great. They are beyond comfortable to walk in, add a bit of heightt and a lot of style. You can throw them on with any outfit to make it edgier.

Today for tea time, I shall simply state what is on my mind today.
I am super duper excited for all the outfits of the day I have planned for the holiday season.
I'm also going to be posting christmas themed pictures, decorations I've been putting up around my room as well as some other holiday projects.

I am seriously going to try to get into some sort of routine for working out and eating healthy. I need structure. Taking it one step at a time simply isn't cutting it. I have to have a plan of action.

I'm so excited for exams to be done and over with. I'm getting really sick of all this school work to hand in. On that note, I am not going back next semester because truthfully, I don't know what I want to do with my life.

Thats it for monday!

Product Review

Happy Saturday,
Today I figured i'd review a product which I truly love. Obviously I will speak good things about this seeing as I adore it. This product is made by Revlon and it is a lovely eyeshadow quad named Nude Elements. Within this quad, you will find four amazing eyeshadows.

The first eyeshadow in the quad (up top) is a shimmery white colour that is great for under your brow bone as well as in your inner tear duct. The second shadow is a shimmery pale pink which applies greatly over your eyelid. The third colour is a dusty pink-purple colour that is lovely in your crease and finally, the dark grey, almost black shadow is amazing for the outer corner. These four eyeshadows are super pigmented and down below you can see swatches of them.

I would definitely recommend this product.
A+

gift ideas for the man in your life

gift ideas for the man in your life

Does anyone agree that christmas shopping is a lot harder when it comes to guys?
I gathered nine ideas that would work for almost any guy out there.
1. Shock by Calvin Klein Cologne. You don't have to go for this specific kind but every guy needs to smell good so this is a great one.
2. American Eagle Striped Crew Sweater. These are the ideal shirts for the winter season and they instantly make you look good. This one retails for 50$ but I'm sure you can find something similar for a lot less in stores such as Walmart.
3. Concert tickets, movie tickets, sport events ticket... Most people have at least one interest and it is a great idea to give tickets to an event of that sort.
4. A great pair of sunglasses is another great idea. Nobody likes staring into the sun and having to squint.
5. A great wash will always come in handy. Especially on those days where its too cold to constantly be grabbing your cellphone out of your school bag.
6. Most people listen to music on the bus, at the gym or while walking home. A nice pair of earphones will always come in handy seeing as most pairs don't last very long.
7. 99% of guys do wear boxers, well maybe not 99% but many. Getting him some nice christmas-themed boxers are definitely cute and fun.
8. An Axe gift set is also a great idea. Everything you need to use in the shower and there are many different scents available therefore there will be one to fit your mans preference.
9. Last but not least, christmas entails that its winter time, correct? Most guys would prefer to freeze rather than look stupid in what they're wearing so why not pick up a great beanie for your man? It'll keep him warm and will make him look good.

I hope you guys enjoyed this and that it comes in handy!

christmas is around the corner

Untitled #108

I wanted to start off my gift guides for the holiday season and therefore I decided to put together some ideas for stocking stuffers for the girls! I'll probably do a gift guide for boys too but I have to think a little bit more for that one. Let's get started!

1. My mom always gets me mascara in my stocking and its one of the most practical gifts.
This specific one is Maybelline Falsies but you can go with whichever one you think the person would like.
2. Every single girl out there wears lip gloss or lip balm. This is Philosophy's Candy Cane Lip Gloss and therefore combines holiday cheer with a useful gift.
3. Maybelline Color Tattoos! So practical, many different colours are available, they are relatively inexpensive and apply beautifully. If she likes makeup, this is a safe bet!
4. Do you know what her favourite perfume is? If so, get her the roller-ball version. These are very practical for on the go rather than carrying a massive bottle around in your purse.
5. LUSH sells these lip scrubs which are definitely amazing for the winter time. Chapped lips are not cute and this will exfoliate your lips and make them feel like a baby's bottom. Flavours available: bubble gum, popcorn, sweet lips, mint julep!
6. Another great idea is adding a season of the persons favourite show! Another option: a CD that they love!
7. This is random but every year we get christmas tic tacs and realistically, it's a little silly but I always end up eating them!
8. If you are giving to someone who loves nail polish, this set is great! It combines four of the most recent shades of polish from the James Bond collection 'Skyfall'.
9. Hand Sanitizer is essential for being germs-free. Bath and BodyWorks offers a great selection of cute anti-bacterial hand sanitizers!
10. Earrings are also definitely a great option for a stocking stuffer. These ones are Bow Earrings by Kate Spade and are a very classic pair for the ages.
11. Starbucks Gift Card, need I say more? Didn't think so.
12. Last but not least, a cute christmas tumbler is always a great gift. It takes up a tad bit more room but you can open it up and stuff some stuff in there!

I hope this was helpful to some of you!
