Living in Canada, the most popular monthly subscription boxes are limited. We do not have birch box, my glam, popsugar and such so we are limited. When I first started looking into such boxes in Canada, I found that they had Loose Button Luxe Box as well as Glymm. I decided to sign up for both because, truthfully, I love all things of this type and I do enjoy trying out new products. Most products, I'll admit, have been simply okay and I would not necessarily repurchase them. Today, I'm gonna present you 6 products that I would definitely dish out the money for (and one of these I already did purchase).
Here we go:
1. M. Asam Magic Fini (bb cream) - full size 30 ml = 38$ (glymm website)
Now this is a little pricey, I will be the first to admit that it is ridiculous to spend the money on such a product because really, I am the queen of cheap. But, it is amazing. Maybe I'll ask for some as a christmas present.
2. Calvin Klein SHOCK for men - 3.4 oz = 26.95$ (amazon)
Obviously this product would not be for me. In my Glymm Box one month, I received two samples of CK's Shock perfume & cologne. At first, I legitimately sat there and was like, WHY WOULD THEY SEND ME MEN PRODUCTS? But I decided to smell it and was SO impressed and in love with it that I went and bought one for my boyfriend so I could smell it all day long.
3. Social Butterfly hair perfume - 50 ml = 34$ (glymm website)
The website states the following: "Freshens your hair and channels your inner goddess. The sweet subtlety of each spritz teases your senses for up to 12 sensuous hours. hair perfume by T&M has a higher concentrate than your average perfumes, so three sprays is more than enough to bring out the tempestuous diva within."
I opened this products and at first, I thought it was a perfume sample. I smelt it and honestly, it smelled divine, like vanilla but a little sweeter. Then, after looking at the product information card, realized it was hair perfume. My brain was a bit confused because I was wondering what kind of person would put perfume in their hair... Now I'm not saying it is appropriate to spray this all over your hair at all times of the day but sometimes when you're going on day 2 or 3 of non-washed hair, you start to miss the smell of your shampoo and your hair needs a spruce of scent. INTRODUCE this product and your hair will smell amazing. They do have other scents also.
4. Chi Silk Infusion - 6 oz = 23.77$ (walmart)
This product provides your hair with healthy nutrients to make it stronger and more hydrated. It is an oil that you apply to your hair before styling and it does tame the frizziness. When you do add ceramic heat to this product, it will insure the deep penetration of the silk proteins in the oil. Soft hair, don't care.
5. LA Fresh nail polish remover pads - 20 individual packets = 9.99$
This is just way more convenient than a bottle of nail polish remover for two simple reasons. First of all, you can just throw a packet of this into your purse and just walk out of the house. One pad takes off nail polish from all ten of your nails, conditions your cuticles with Aloe, Glycerin and Vitamin E, doesn't dry out your skin an strengthens your nails with natural extracts. Second of all, I don't know about you guys, but often when trying to get nail polish remover onto cotton balls, I make a mess. With this product, you do not have to worry.
6. CARGO Lash Activator Primer in Black - 35$ (cargocosmetics.com)
OOPS, I feel bad. I actually didn't receive this in my glymm box, it came in my Luxe Box but I had no idea until I researched it. Please excuse my mistake but I still feel the need to mention this product. This product is known to be a primer for your mascara. I am not usually a fan of mascara samples because I do have my two trustworthy products. I decided to give this a whirl because I am trying to use up my products. OH MY GOODNESS my lashes looked so amazing. Now, I have very short lashes and I'm all about length length and more length. Seeing this product is a primer, I did coat it with my trusty mascara, BUT, I do believe that even though it is simply a primer, it looks AMAZING on it's own. Now, 35$ is a biiiiiiig jump from my daily product that costs about 10 bucks (which I think is even ridiculous) and seeing as you're supposed to dispose of them after 3 months, I just don't know if I could willingly spend money on this, but I sure as hell would request it as a gift or if I ran into some surprise money, I'd definitely get it.
