Hey guys! Today I decided to share with you the I HEART DRUGSTORE MAKEUP tag.
This tag was initially created by Makeupbyalli on Youtube and I decided I'd participated. You can check out my video on my channel.

1. What is your favourite drugstore makeup brand?
This one was tough seeing as I love Maybelline so much. But, I had to go with revlon. I think if I had to pick one to live with only Id choose Revlon.
2. What are your favourite drugstore face, cheek and lip products?
Lately I have been loving Neutrogena's Healthy Skin Liquid Foundation, L'Oréal Infallible Powder, Maybelline Mineral Power in True Peach (for blush) & NYC Bronzer in Sunny. As for lips, I have been loving Revlon Lip Butter in Lollipop!
3. What is your least favourite drugstore makeup product?
Almay I-Intense Smoky Eye Trio. I don't like the pigmentation and the way it looks on me.
4. Best drugstore makeup deal?
Elf Eyelid Primer. Works amazing and is so cheap.
5. Favourite underdog product? (a product you love that mostly goes unnoticed)
Essence Forget It 3 in 1 concealer! This stuff is great, helps cover blemishes, under eye circles and redness. Not expensive either!
6. Name a makeup product that is overpriced.
In this case I went with a whole brand rather then one item: Physicians Formula.
7. List your drugstore dupes.
- MAC Lady Blush & Revlon Rose Glow
- ELF blush and bronzer duo & NARS duo
- SO MANY MORE!
8. Makeup product you thought wasn't worth the hype?
Maybelline Mega Plush Mascara. Don't get me wrong, I did really like this mascara. Unfortunately, I did not think it was worth the hype that people made it out to be. I liked the mascara but it didn't live up to what the commercial said. It did look more natural than other mascaras but you didn't look like you were not wearing any makeup.

Hope you guys enjoyed :)

FALL makeup routine

Untitled #99

Hey guys!
I figured I would share with you my everyday fall makeup routine. The weather definitely permits you to go a little bolder then during the summertime seeing as you won't be sweating your makeup off constantly.
Seeing as we are getting a little pasty at this time of year, we can't rely on our tanned skin to hide our imperfections. Before you even start off, make sure to use an oil-free moisturizer on your face. Whichever one you would like!
My face routine depends on the day. When my skin isn't too bad, I usually use a tinted moisturizer or bb cream but i'm going to share my less amazing skin day routine. Start off with your favourite foundation. Currently I am using Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Foundation. A little goes a long way with this product. The next step is concealer. My go-to recently is Essence Forget it 3 in 1 concealer. The green tint is for redness, the pink is for under eye circles and the beige is for blemishes. It is so inexpensive and its great. I love it.
NEXT! Use your favourite powder to set your foundation and concealer. I use the L'Oréal Infallible Powder and I am a huge fan. This allows you to keep your face from getting oily and it helps keep your foundation on all day long.
I was never a big blush wearer. But lately I've been giving it a go. I have not found a favourite holy grail product yet but for fall, I figured I'd go for a cream blush. I've been using Revlon Cream Blush in Rosy Glow. I like how natural the cream blushes look on your skin. There are no shimmers in it which helps it look good. As for bronzer, I love it. Lately I have been using NYC in Sunny. It is a great matte bronzer and super inexpensive. I'd recommend you try it out.
The funnest part of applying makeup is definitely the eyes. The first step is primer. Make sure you use a great base so your eyeshadow lasts all day! Some great primers are ELF, Urban Decay Primer Potion or Too Faced Shadow Insurance. If you can't find any or don't wanna spend the money, you can also use Maybelline Colour Tattoos. I use the Colour Tattoo in Too Cool, a nice shimmery white base. Lately I have been loving Revlon Colorstay Eyeshadow Quad in Nude Elements. I use the top colour under my brow as a highlight colour. The second colour is used all over my lid and then I use the third colour in my crease. It is not over dramatic but definitely is my wow factor. As for mascara, it varies between the Cargo Lash Activator and Maybelline Falsies. Don't forget to curl your eyelashes first!
Lippies! Fall is definitely the ideal season for dark lips. If you are not a fan of them, then go with a nice nude. I recently have been loving Revlon Lip Butters in Candy Apple (a nice red), Raspberry Pie (a plum colour) and Lollipop (a bold dark pink).
I hope you guys enjoyed this and definitely let me know what your routine is :)

fall fashion trends

Fall Fashion Trends
I don't think I'm the only person who agrees that fall fashion is most exciting. Sure, summer time means cute summer dresses, pretty sandals and cute crop tops but it gets so hot sometimes that you'd rather go naked. Winter brings lovely jackets, scarves and boots but here in Canada, it gets very cold, very fast.
This year, fall has brought along some lovely trends for the season. The trends I'm going to show you today will work not only for fall but for winter as well.

First off, something everyone can work with: cute graphic sweaters. I wish I had kept mine from years ago, I never thought they'd be back in style but one thing to remember is everything comes back at one point or another. Forever 21 has a ton of cute options that will fit everybody's budget. Here are a few from different stores I have gotten to broaden the spectrum. They are all under 50$.

left to right (tillys 27$, republic.co.uk 40$, davidandgoliath 43$, mango 39$, indressme.com 41$, newlook.com 24$)
The next trends all fit into one category…SHOES! Who doesn't love a cute pair of shoes? This fall, the most apparent shoe trends are oxfords, loafers and booties! Oxfords are inspired by menswear but look adorable when paired with the right outfit. Cuff your jeans, wear a cute button-down shirt and you're ready to rock! Loafers say to the world: I want to be comfortable but put together. Booties give your outfit a little more oomph. They tell the world that when getting dressed this morning, you wanted to look sophisticated (even if you are not).
left to right (wet seal 36$, aldo 98$, gojane.com 23$, amazon 31$, charlotte ruse 47$, target 24$, charlotte ruse 29$)

Finally, a trend that is not everybody's cup of tea. I am a big believer that your attitude when wearing something will greatly influence if it looks good or not. Patterned pants and leggings are hot items for the season. Weather it be a floral print, a tribal inspired print or big bold polkadots, they can definitely be rocked. You would rock a top in that print so why not rock bottoms instead? I guarantee you people will be looking at you and more than likely, you'll look awesome. Just be sure to keep the rest of your outfit very basic.

Hey pretties,
I'm really sorry I have not updated in a couple days but its midterm season and I just have not had the time to dedicate to the blog. Studying has taken over my life. I figured I'd just show you guys some beautiful purses from ALDO that are perfect for autumn. They are all great quality and relatively inexpensive. Check out their website!

Happy Friday!
When thinking about upcoming posts, I stumbled upon this idea. A lot of young girls are reading blogs & watching youtube beauty videos and in all honesty, a lot of them do not even have a good makeup collection. At a young age, I do not recommend to go for too much of a bold look because you may end up looking like you're trying too hard.
Here i've put together a good base for a makeup collection if you are without one, but if you also do have an extensive collection, these are all products I would recommend.
To begin, let's list the face products:
- Maybelline BB Cream: if you are just starting off, I wouldn't go for a heavy foundation but instead I would recommend a BB cream seeing as it has coverage but doesn't look too thick, it is moisturizing and lasts all day.
- Rimmel Stay Matte Powder: If you have oily skin or you tend to realize your makeup doesn't last, Id pick up a matte powder to set your bb cream for the day.
- NYC Bronzer: This bronzer is nicely pigmented, and when applied correctly, will make you look like you've been kissed by the sun. This brand is pretty inexpensive which is a bonus.
- NYX Rouge Cream Blush: NYX has amazing products and this blush is a nice shade which you can subtlety add to the apple of your cheeks. You can also pick a lighter shade if you want to look even more natural.
Brushes:
Brushes are an essential for every makeup collection. Sure, you can use your fingers and the applicators that come with your makeup, but I would recommend spending a bit of money on brushes in order to make application easier. Start small.
For your eyes:
- Wet & Wild Eyeshadow Quad in Walking on Eggshells: This is honestly one of my favourite drugstore eyeshadow quad. The colours are super pigmented, make your makeup look very natural and they are very inexpensive!
- Maybelline Falsies Mascara: Holy Grail mascara! SOOOO recommended on youtube which means it is delightful. Makes your eyelashes look amazing!
- Eyelash Curler to make them look even better.
For your lips:
- Carmex Lip Balm: keeps your lips moisturized and has a subtle tint of red for those days where you want to look very natural.
- Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch: Baby Lips are tinted lip balms which keep your lips hydrated and give you a very pigmented colour. Many options to choose from.

Have a great weekend,

Midterms takeover

As much as I like October for the weather and the fact that its the month of Halloween, I must say I do not like the university aspect of it because it is midterm season. When midterms roll around, I am highly exhausted due to the fact that I spend all my time studying and not sleeping quite as much. Today I've put together a cute yet laid-back outfit for when you're in the library studying for your exams. Also, I through in some studying essentials. The easiest way to look cute and be comfortable is to wear leggings. This floral print pair of leggings from H&M looks super polished and nobody has to know that they have an elastic waistband. Throw on your favourite knit sweater in a neutral colour and some cute comfortable booties. A bright scarf will keep you warm on your walk to the library! I see no point in straightening or curling my hair on these type of days because I'm on of those people who puts their hair up to study or do homework. This messy bun takes a minute to do and it looks cute. Throw in a bobby pin or two and you are set. Wear your reading glasses or pretend that you need glasses to look extra nerdy chic.
Some essentials to bring along with you to get you through the day: first off, your notebook (a cute one is always better), some colourful pens to jazz up your study notes, your laptop (not for browsing youtube or Facebook unfortunately), a bottle of fresh cold water and some candy to snack on during the day. Throw all the essentials in your cute tote bag or backpack and stop by Starbucks on your way over to school to keep you awake for the day ahead. Pop your earphones into your ears, throw on some low music that will keep you focused on your notes and not your neighbours.

Look cute and study hard,
xox

Seeing as my friggen camera has not yet arrived, I must resort to sharing my september favourites via my blog for you all! Here we go!

Beauty Favorites
Revlon Lip Butter in Lollipop
- I am by no means a lipstick person. I usually don't even stop to look at lipstick in the drugstore. Looking through my sisters extensive collection, I just opted to try this one and it just so happened to be love at first sight. The colour is semi-bold but it is nothing to be afraid of. That's a lot coming from me seeing I think everything is bold. Its not too expensive, perfect quality and all-around greatness.
OPI Top Coat
When it comes to painting my nails, I am usually the minimalist. The less steps the better. I have yet to find a base coat I like but this top coat is definitely working for me this month.
Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Too Cool & Bad to the Bronze
Everybody raves about these. I am not quite brave enough to go for the blue or the purple, but I happened to notice these in our local pharmacy and was so pumped to try them. Too Cool is perfect as a base colour and perfect for your highlight! Bad to the bronze can be used as an-all over colour or simply as a crease colour. Lasts forever, not too expensive.
Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment
This month has been horrible for my face. I can't complain because I am generally blessed with good skin. Unfortunately, my skin didn't get the memo this month and zits have taken over. Cue in this product. This won't break the bank, it will clear up your zitties and you will be one happy gal.
Organix Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum
I bought this product on a whim because the price was great and it smelled wonderful. I put dime-sized amount of product in my palm and apply it to the bottom half of my hair after the shower. It makes my hair smooth and it smells great. If you can't afford the Morrocan Oil, I would go for this!
Honey Autumn Apple Creamy Body Scrub
I would be kidding myself if I said I wasn't bribed into buying this product from Bath & Body Works. I walked in the store with one goal: get candles - until I saw the sign, Buy 3 Signature Collection Products and get 3 free. They sucked me in like evil vampires. This past summer I had picked up a body scrub for my mom and I ended up using half the bottle so when I saw they had them in fall scents, I opted for a couple (or four). This has been in my shower ever since and I love it.
Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes (nighttime)
The purple pack. I believe they're infused with lavender and they are suppose to soothe you to sleep. Okay, who are they trying to kid! I picked these up for 3$ in a bargain bin a week or two ago. I looooove makeup remover towelettes because I am a very lazy human being. These are great on my skin, don't burn my eyes and they're cheap. Awesome.

Random favorites
BBW Candle in Apple Crumble
- Fall candles from Bath & Body Works. What more to say? Who isn't a fan of these seriously? Apple Crumble was a favourite from last year which is also a favourite for this month. Deliciousness.
Nutella
- Heaven in a jar. Chocolate & almond goodness. I have been loving nutella this month, because it's a great start to your morning and soooo healthy (not, thanks commercial for encouraging me though) - but a bit of chocolate a day is good right? Let me believe so.
 Squirrel Scentportable
If you didn't know, I work with horses. Therefore, my car often smells a little bit funky (okay, a lot) and  even though I am used to it, I felt bad for others having to sit in my car sometimes. I picked up this scent portable on a whim because it is so dang cute but I ended up using it in my car. My car now smells so delicious you wouldn't even know there is mud, horse poop and other smells in there. (gross, I know)
Skinny Jeans
If you know me in real life, you'd know I swear by my Lululemon pants. In high school, I'd wear lulus everyday with a hoodie. So cute right? Maybe not. This month, I've decided to put those aside and introduce skinny jeans more regularly in my outfits.
 DailyGrace
If you were to see the people whom I am subscribed to on Youtube, you would simply see many many beauty gurus and then you would find DailyGrace. This girl is hilarious. Seriously makes my day. I look forward to watching her video every week day. Do not watch this if you are not into profanity or sexual content but if you are okay with that, GO WATCH HER NOW!

Gangnam Style by PSY

What are your favourites this month?

Rock The Trend

This seasons trends are super fun and most are loud. For some people, LOUD is great. For others, it isn't so awesome because they do not like to be the centre of attention. I decided to put two different looks for this trend - one for people who want to be a little more out there and one for people who'd prefer to fly under the radar.

On the left, we've got the look for those who wish to keep it light.
Grab a coloured pair of pants in a more neutral tone such as a charcoal or green-grey pair.
Add your favourite chunky knit sweater in a lighter shade.
Grab a bag that is earth toned.
Here is where the trend comes in: add a fun scarf in the featured colour.
Accessorize your feet with a pair of loafers or flats in the same hue.
Finally, throw some deep red or burgundy nail polish on your fingers!

On the right, we've got a look for someone who is more bold; who likes to be seen.
The base for your outfit is a pair of pants in the featured colour.
Add a plain or studded chambray button down to tone it down a tad bit.
Throw on some brown flats on your feet and a bag in the same colour-family to your shoulder.
Add a dark lip in the same hue as your pants & some studs to your earlobes.

I hope you guys enjoyed these looks,

what to have in your purse

Hey pretty girls!
Initially I was going to do a post on what items you can find in my purse but then I took a look into my purse and realized you could find a whole lot of useless things, some garbage and random items. I also realized important things were missing.
Instead of doing that post, I decided to instead put together a post on the essential items to have in your purse! Obviously this depends on your style, but here is what I personally would recommend to keep in your purse.

First off, you need a pretty purse. A black purse (H&M) works year round which is nice if you are on a budget and can't afford to switch it out for every season. A main item in your purse would also be your wallet. In my opinion, a patterned wallet is super fun and can easily brighten up your day (such as this one from Vera Bradley).
Essentials:
- cellphone (who are we kidding? everyone needs this)
- sunglasses for bright sunny days
- planner & pen (someone is always asking around for a pen)
- gum & breath mints (stinky breath is a big no-no)
- keys (for your car, your house, etc)
Beauty essentials:
- mini bottle of hand sanitizer! i recommend bath & body works for cute pocket backs
- a small bottle of you favourite fragrance
- chapstick (you can also add a lipstick if you like)
- lotion (dry skin is never pretty)
- kleenex
- hair ties & bobbypins

Let me know what you guys keep in your purse!
